KGalleous is a rare multi-instrumentalist and vocal coach with a singular ability: playing multiple instruments simultaneously — vocals, piano, drums, and bass — often performing more than one at the same time. His musical depth goes far beyond the classroom.

KGalleous served as both bassist and pianist for the Southern Gospel quartet Michael Boykin & The Mighty Voices, a group signed to the legendary Malaco Records — one of the most storied soul and gospel labels in American music history. His work with the group brought him into recording studios and stages across the country, building the kind of professional experience most musicians only dream of.

He has played on numerous albums as a credited artist and session musician, contributing alongside acclaimed names including Darrell McFadden, Wes Morgan, Leandria Johnson, and many others. That breadth of studio and live performance experience is what he now brings directly into every lesson.

What age can my child start?

Children as young as 5 can start with vocals and basic keyboard. Drums work well from age 6, and bass guitar from around 8. The instructor adapts every lesson to the child's level, attention span, and personality.
Do we need to buy instruments?

Not to start. All instruments are available in the studio for lessons. As students progress, the instructor can advise on the best budget-friendly options for practice at home — but there is never any pressure to buy anything immediately.
My child has never touched an instrument. Is that okay?

Completely. The teaching approach is designed specifically for beginners. Students play a real piece of music in their first lesson, which immediately builds confidence. No prior experience is needed or expected.
Do you teach in English or Spanish?

Both. The instructor is comfortable teaching in English and Spanish. Families from the expat community and Black immigrant community are warmly welcomed. Lessons are adapted to the language the student is most comfortable in.
How does payment work?

Payment is collected monthly, at the start of each month. We accept cash and bank transfer (SPEI). Payment is simple and straightforward — no apps, no subscriptions, no surprises.
What is a recital and when do they happen?
▾
Recitals are small performance events, typically held every 3–4 months, where students play a piece they have been working on. They can be informal studio gatherings or slightly larger events as the school grows. Every enrolled student participates — there are no auditions or minimums. Parents love them.
Where exactly is the studio?
▾
The studio is located in Conkal, Yucatán — just a short drive from central Mérida. The exact address is shared after booking. It is a dedicated home studio space, quiet and fully equipped.
Can I enroll multiple children?
▾
Absolutely. Siblings are welcome and can even share a partner lesson together at a reduced rate. There is a 10% sibling discount on the second child's monthly package.
